SFU Connect

Ok here's a bit of background to the post:

The old SFU email system had such an ugly interface, I didn't want to put up with it and had all my emails forwarder from my SFU account to my hotmail inbox. Then a while ago SFU got a new, much prettier, email system.

Fastforward to today:

I was supposed to receive an email from one of my professors about a homework assignment. I didn't get the email. I thought I wasn't on the class email list (it happens), so I sent the prof an email and asked a friend to forward me the email regarding the homework. I didn't get the forward either.

So I go and log in to the new system and there they are: 66 emails since December 22, 2008

Fuck me, I've been out of the loop for a while.

Is it too much to ask that my settings be migrated to the new system? Come on, both systems have the same forwarding feature, how hard can it be? Fancy AJAX, new name, but they can't keep the same settings. Kind of sad.

brb reading email.

Dear Facebook,

So you are trying to tell me that I'm a single, unemployed student.

Well no shit. I noticed.

To get to the point:
  1. No, I do not want to meet Hot Canadian singles (through Facebook)
  2. No, I do not want to attend Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Kwantlen? Are you kidding me? Check my education info you stalkers.)
  3. No, I do not want to attend Daniel Packard's FlirtFest (what in the fuck?)
  4. No, I do not need a part time job right now (yes I'm unemployed, I noticed)
  5. No, I do not have the desire to lose 10lbs right now (although I should get on it)
  6. No, i do not want to travel
  7. No, I don't want to take Sexy diva Dance classes (can I come to watch though?)
  8. No, I do not want to attend Douglas College (see #2)
  9. etc
Thanks,

IVT

2 decades

Yeah that's how long I've been around.

Accomplishments so far
  • 53(?) credits towards a BSc. in Computing Science
  • a web site that gets a steady amount of traffic (www.gpaboosters.com)
Overweight and underachieving since 1989.

But on a serious note, the next 20 years will be way better than the last 20. This is is pretty much guaranteed.
In the next year, i am looking forward to:
  • getting through 2 more semesters (ie racking up credits)
  • first co-op semester in the summer, time to see what the real world feels like.
  • $$$$$?
Pretty sweet. The future awaits!
